A variety of archival quality watercolor papers, such as Strathmore 500, Arches, or Twin Rocker handmade paper are used for these paintings. The long-term light fast watercolor pigments used are usually applied in very thin transparent layers, sometimes up to 20 layers of paint. The white paper reflects through the layers and 'optically mixes' the colors. Inquire about availability.
